Lisa Jones is a British artist based in Sydney, Australia whose work explores drawing, sculpture and video.
Jones studied at Goldsmiths College and Wimbledon School of Art and was awarded a MFA from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and a MVA from Sydney College of the Arts. Jones has been a finalist in the ABN AMRO Emerging Artist Award, Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing and the City of Hobart Art Prize. Her works have been acquired by Artbank, Macquarie University Art Gallery and the Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Prize. Recent exhibitions include the National Art School, Port Macquarie Hastings Regional Gallery, Artspace Mackay, Dominic Mersch Gallery and Drawing Projects UK. In 2018 Jones was awarded a Copyright Agency CREATE Grant in collaboration with artist Julia Davis, for their project Waiting.
Jones is currently employed as a sessional lecturer at the National Art School and as the Gallery Coordinator/Curator at Grace Cossington Smith Gallery.
Between 2005-13 Jones was a director of the artist-run-initiative Peloton.
